Ikonoskop aren’t having a presence at NAB 2009 due to falling behind in the delivery of the much anticipated DII raw camera. As they are pushing the limits of the form factor/quality equation I’m not surprised! The delay is disappointing but it does let the dust settle on adobe’s new digital raw standard format, cinema DNG, which the camera will be using as its native recording format. Plenty of manufacturers of post solutions will be implementing workflows for the DNG standard so these should begin to materialize before the camera’s delivery. This is something that is just happening for RED’s proprietary R3D raw format 2 years on.
